When you are going to wash your car, I will bet you do not use a spray bottle and some paper towels. In fact I will bet our automotive expert, Steve Overbeck would disapprove. Well, why do we do the same thing when we wash windows? You want to see how a professional gets windows crystal clear, well, watch this. Okay, this really is not the best way to clean glass and I will tell you why. Often you just leave dirt behind; you just rub it around in circles. The way professionals clean glass, they have got better tools. The first thing they start with is a scrubber. This is a fleece-like material that they actually use to apply a liquid solution of basically a degreasing soap. A very similar to the liquid dish soap you have in your own home. They apply that to the windows, scrub it and that fleece actually pick up a huge majority of the dirt and it is not even on the glass framework. They follow that with a squeegee. These are professional squeegees. They are made out of brass so the brush would not scratch the glass and I have got these nice tight rubber blades and they go ahead and remove the excess water from the glass with a squeegee. Now, after each stroke they wipe the squeegee with a neat cloth. These are lint-free; they are available around town at some home centers and some paint stores. You use all those tools in a combination and with a little bit of practice, you are going to get professional results on your glass. Well, you saw how easy it was to clean the outside of a piece of glass. Now, I am going to start on the inside. If you want to discover more home improvement tips, go to AskTheBuilder.com.
