Hi, Keith here and see another video. We are going to talk a little bit more about your Windows desktop. Now, notice the shortcut right here, you notice it does not have an icon. What you see here is what Windows defaults to when there is no icon associated with the shortcut. And you can change this at any time and actually you can change any icon that your desktop has and there are a couple of reasons for that. Number one is because you can, it is going to be fun to do that. Another reason for it is say for example you are working on a project and you have a bunch of shortcuts that are related to that project. You can change all of them to that specific icon which you choose. Let us look it this way, if you are looking for things, you are going to looking for that icon that really going to stand out so you will be able to see them and that is going to help you very quickly to determine if that is one the link search you were looking for. Let us show you how this one works here. So, what we will do is just take our mouse and I am going to click the right mouse button. Brings up to the menu, you will notice right here, we will click on properties and we will see if we can see it. Okay, so here you can see the URL list going too, so this is going to Google. Now, here is more interested in changed icons. Let us go ahead and click this for the left mouse button. Now, notice here all the icons that are here. They have all these that you can choose from. There is just a bunch of stuff here that you can use. I want to point something else right here. This is where this file that has the icons is, it is in the Windows to increase system 32 right here, you notice Shell32.dil. There are a lot of dil files that have icons associated with them. So, if you wanted to, you can click the browse button and go and look through computer for others dil files and click on them and you will be surprised, a bunch of them had an icon there. And finally if you like, you can actually use it for a different shortcut. Remember an icon is just a picture that is associated with the short cut. So, you can use whatever you like. I like this one right here so just click this for the left mouse button, you know, just select it then click okay and now we are going to click apply and okay. You will notice they will go. The icon now has changed. There is one of the things you can do too here. The names are also changed. So, if you right click the name right here, rename and you can name that to whatever you want, chose My Google and just put in and take your mouse and left click and it will respond on the desktop and there you go, you change the name. So, here is just another way of using your Windows desktop that most people just are not aware of and as students in this class now you are in review, just seeing just how simple it is to make these changes. So, go ahead and try this and just see what you can do and have some fun with this.
