Liz has worked as a professional writer for 5 years and as a professional editor for 4. She has also worked in the internet marketing/Search Engine Optimization (SEO) industry. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis where she played varsity softball for 4 years and graduated with an English major as well as Business and Legal Studies minors. She studied abroad for a semester in Brighton, England.
Recently, Liz received her EMT certification in the state of Washington. She continues to play co-ed, adult-league sports and likes to get outside hiking, camping and skiing whenever she can. Liz also enjoys traveling and tries to make a point of spending at least one weekend a month in another state (out-of-the-country trips usually require more than a weekend, but she makes those happen on occasion as well).
Liz is very excited about HowToDoThings, which she has been working on since her company purchased it in August 2005. She has been working with the development team to redesign and reconfigure the site with the goal of turning it into a great resource for everyone everywhere. Liz is also hoping to cultivate a writing community that encourages contributors to write about topics they know and love. Liz plans to do her best to keep each writer's "voice" in each piece he or she submits.
As this site is still a work in progress, Liz hopes that you'll not only be patient as the site develops, but also share any thoughts, suggestions or concerns that you may have regarding the site itself or your experience with it. Please be on the lookout for new features and updates as we continue to grow and develop.
