Thank you for coming to my bio page and a huge thank you to howtodothings.com for publishing my articles. This is a great opportunity for me to write smaller, concise pieces while I continue to work on my great romance novel of the century.
With a full-time successful embroidery business, I probably should not take on one more thing. But I love to write and create. Over the past 20 years, I have had 350 designs published in national magazines of patterns for knitting, crochet, needlepoint and cross-stitch.
The past few years, I have been intimately involved with motorcycle road racing and have had numerous articles published while reporting the outcome of various events. I fell so hard for the sport of motorcycling racing, I learned how to ride and now have a Suzuki SV650 sportbike -- affectionately termed a "crotch rocket." My husband and I have taken breath-taking rides through the Smoky Mountains and experienced extremes from riding when it is close to 100 degrees to barely able to see the road through fog and rain.
I have also started a blog at www.merylsmusings.blogspot.com where I will download my thoughts, subjects of interest, and anything else that might pop into my head each day. Please feel free to visit that site and offer up some feedback. As for what I write for this site, my articles will vary from down-home cooking to crafts to motorcyle savvy -- so keep checking back and thanks for reading my articles.
Looking for more fun stuff? After you read my article How to Save on Grocery Bills, head to http://oneminutehowto.com/Shows/Shows.asp?How_To_Save_On_Grocery_Bills and listen to my interview based directly from my article on this site. I've also recently conducted another interview on embroidery. Writing for How To Do Things has opened up some wonderful opportunities -- thanks!
Also, head to www.fowlerville.blogspot.com for my take on a city girl living in a small town. In addition to articles on events, community activities, history, and people every Saturday you will find a recipe and every Sunday something to giggle about.
